During the COVID pandemic, while Montréal was under curfew and the world felt paused, they met through a dating application. In a time when connection felt limited and uncertain, they chose to open up, to talk, to discover each other beyond the noise of everyday life.
What started as conversations during lockdown slowly turned into something deeper, something intentional. In a season where everything felt restricted, their relationship expanded. From virtual exchanges to real-life moments, from uncertainty to commitment, they built a foundation rooted in authenticity and presence.
Sometimes, love doesn’t need perfect timing. It just needs two people willing to say yes.
💍 A Proposal Surrounded by Family & Sunset Light
When Julian began planning his proposal, he knew one thing for sure: Viviane would want her family close.
During a visit to her sister in the Laurentians, about three hours north of Montréal, he carefully coordinated with her sister (who would later become her maid of honour) and her mother. After a beautiful seasonal dining experience overlooking a peaceful forest, with golden light filtering through the trees and the sun slowly setting, the moment arrived.
Intimate. Thoughtful. Emotional.
It wasn’t just about asking a question, it was about honoring who she is and the people who matter most to her. Surrounded by love, with nature as their backdrop, their next chapter began.
🌴 From Montréal to Mexico: Choosing Joy
In 2022, Viviane brought Julian to Mexico for the first time. Living in Canada means embracing long winters, so the Caribbean sun felt like freedom.
They fell in love with traveling together, the warmth on their skin, the sound of the ocean, the ease of vacation energy. Mexico became more than a destination; it became a shared memory, a place that symbolized lightness and connection.
